SNAKES RUN FASTER !!!!!!!!

I am about to finish another two classes towards my teaching degree. It feels awesome to be closer to getting my teaching degree. I very much want to continue being a daycare provider and open a preschool .To add to the great things the weather continues to stay warm and it even going to be in the 70's this week. My middle daughter has been trying to find a different job before she goes back to school. She wants to first become a Certified Nursing Assistant then she wants to become a Physical Therapist. My oldest daughter wants to be a veterinarian. It will definitely make our family more interesting.
We visited the Sahara Desert and we enjoyed every minute of it.

We went searching for deserts around the world on our "Global Friends World Map". The children pointed to Africa and Australia as having deserts. This was a great experience for the kids. Having the kids understand that there are fantastic people and things around the world.

Reading "Sahara Blue Men " was so much fun. Each time I read the word blue I let the kids find something in the room that was blue. The kids got me laughing because they were very determined to find blue items. I going to do the story again , but I will be doing it as a Easter egg hunt for blue Easter eggs. I am going to hide the Easter eggs all around my yard.

"What do you bring when you go for a walk ?" Of course according to the children you bring a big bottle of water, root beer, and a water fountain.
Camels came up next on our desert tour. The children told me if camels go out in the desert they will dry up and die. Next we learned that camel and human bodies store food and water. This is how the camel can go across the desert because they store water in their hump.  I was excited to see the "Camel Puppet" activity again. I turned the children loose and let them create their own "Camel Puppet". Their fine motor skills , logic, creativity, and artistic skills got some exercise.

We even made progress on our "Canteen Prop" too. All of us brought our water bottles outside to enjoy the warm sunshine.

We did "Don't Spin the Scorpion" a bit early because this little girl loves the games with the spinners. I laminated the game and cut the squares apart .When the kids landed on a color I had them name the color first. Then they put a cube on the correct color. I know this game is going to used many, many, many times. All of us keep wanting to learn more and more with " Mother Goose Time Curriculum".  Before all of you know it we will all be back to share our adventures with every one.                    http://www.mothergoosetime.com/                                    Patty
