Sharing wisdom and truth with everyone

I tried my hardest to challenge my daycare kids and my daughter in a positive way. The kids jump right in and they knew their letters when I asked them. I even did a true and false with the letters . I would pick up the Letter B flag and I would ask them if it was the letter C. The kids really enjoyed making letters with stick counters. Doing this is going to help them with recognizing and writing letters. I got the story pieces for Stone Soup out and two large spoons and let the kid make their own soup. I am glad I did this . I think they got more out of the lesson.

There have been so many fantastic opportunities this week for the kids to cut , paint, dramatic play, letter recognition, numbers, colors and so many more. All I have to do is say the word paint and the kids are ready. They made their own creations with the "African Pot Art" and the " Stamping Art".  All the different things that were included to paint with were a huge hit with the kids. I think the items that were included for the kids to paint with helped the children be even more creative. Now we have to get on the " Friends and Feelings" train and have some more fun learning .

Counting the colors of the Rainbow

This week has gone by so fast. We have been enjoying learning. It has not even felt like work. Also it has felt the same way with homeschooling my daughter. We have been working on a plant's life cycle and we have been growing bean plants. My daughter Makayla  loves Science. The kids enjoyed the " Rainbow Race " game. They were enjoying it so much that I let them play it for a while. There is a child I have after school that asked me if she could play it too.

The Concept Reviews were a blast . The kids were able to recognize their colors. They went and found an object that had the same color very quickly. They had more fun going to find an object that was the same color. They surprised me with knowing their shapes. I tried to mix up the shapes to challenge them but they still knew what they were. They surprised me with how much they understood sharing . I let them paint the noodles on their "Snake Necklace". I thought this would give them more work with their fine motor skills. The other thing that made my day is when I asked them
" What would you do if someone stole something from you?" one of the children said " I would try to get my stuff back." I love that Mother Goose Time is inspiring confidence in children as well. On to more learning fun !!!!!!!!

Paul Bunyan and How tall am I today ?

Wow what a week. Kids have gone back to school. I am doing even more preschool activities with my daycare kids. I have started homeschooling my 10 year old daughter again. I am so excited to be trying new things with my daughters homeschooling and with all the new goodies for Mother Goose Time. I have seen with the other bloggers for Mother Goose Time that they could not wait to get everything out of their box for September. I am right in there with them. I have already gone through my September box too. I love everthing in it. It is all very cool.

Reviewing colors and learning about the letter "B" went very well. All the kids did so well with these activities. We moved on to the Growth Chart. This was great . The kids were able to cut out the leaves by themselves

The kids love checking to see each day if they are gettting taller. The "Babe and Bessie" book was excellent. All the story pieces this week have been fantastic. The story pieces have helped the children understand the story much better.
