More Neptune , then Saturn , and investigating the Milky Way Galaxy

I have caught another cold and my youngest daughter has been sick and my husband has been sick as well , but even with all that it has been a fantastic week traveling through the Universe using the Mother Goose Time Curriculum. We still have some work to do in our More Literacy and More Math Workbooks. Also we need to finish our " Swirling Neptune's " because the amount of paint the children used took longer to dry than I thought it would . The children enjoyed being able to paint using a ball . I had paint brushes out too. Sometimes they put paint on the balls with the paint brushes then rolled the ball on the paper . The " Outer Space Writing " activity went over great with children. Even my youngest daughter wanted to do it.  I even added sequins to it as well. I am going to keep using these because it got the children to think about writing and how letters are shaped .  The children went to town with " Spinning Saturn " .   We stayed on this part longer because they were enjoying it a lot . They loved making the " Saturn Wand " and they were playing them yesterday . Every part of the " Day 15 Galaxy " lesson the children were thrilled with.  The " Galaxy Goo " was first on the children's list .  They kept trying to figure out what was going to happen when all the ingredients were put together. Then they kept wanting to touch it and stretch it out  . I am going to make more of this and put it out on one of the tables  I have for the children . Come Monday it will be on to " Astronauts "  . I need find a large box so we can make a rocket ship  .
