What are the things that help us get from place to place

This has been a fabulous week.  All of us finished up " In the Orchard" and we had a blast with "Halloween". Everyone is enjoying "On the Go" so far. Washington, Illinois has been up and down in temperature all week. I am determined to work in more outside time for Mother Goose lessons and my daughter's homeschooling lessons. It rained most of the day on "Halloween". The rain cleared out around 4:00PM and I was so happy and excited. I enjoy Halloween so much with my family and with all the kids that come to the door. They are all so creative with their costumes.I was a Sock Monkey. My daughter Caitlyn was a nurse and my daughter Makayla was a evil mermaid. We did get to make the "Ladybug Pizza". We all had fun and the kids learned some math and they learned sequences. We got some effective practice with patterns with October calendar.

We are still working with what we see on roads. The" Number 5 and Triangle Concept Intro"  I did at the same time . It went pretty well. The kids were able to find the triangle signs and they were able to count to five. I even asked them how many sides does a triangle have and we counted the sides on the triangle.

The manipulatives for "On the Go" are awesome. Every loves the traffic signs , car, and the transportation counters. I even got out the bus counters from September too.

We worked on our " Build a Road Art". We still need to finish the signs. This activity gave the kids plenty of practice cutting. They also got to work on sequencing as well. The "Traffic Jam" went well. It made the kids really think about what they needed to do.

"Stop Light Prop" was excellent. I thought this activity was set up very well. This activity was one the kids could do on their own. They got some more independence, self esteem, and confidence.

The big stickers were a hit with the kids. Once they saw them they were ready to get them on there right away.

The "Ladybug Pizza" also showed the kids they are able to make their food. They learned how to use a spoon, put tomato sauce on the English muffin, and they got to put cheese on the English muffin too. There are so many more fantastic adventures waiting for us with Mother Goose Time Curriculum so we have to but we will be back very soon.
