Animals and Ice

This has been the best roller coaster on Earth. It has been Spring like temperatures all week in Washington, IL. I have gotten to see my oldest daughter a lot more. We are still redoing our bathroom.  That is a ongoing adventure. Our week in Mother Goose Time started with "Animal Tracks". I loved using flour as snow and letting the kids push the shape builders into the flour and make shape prints. The kids got flour on their clothes but they had a blast. It helped them recognize their shapes much better. The "Reindeer Headband" was awesome. I let the kids trace their own hands and put the eyes and nose on the reindeer. They got more practice with their fine motor skills.

The children wanted to draw other designs on their "Reindeer Headband". Each headband is very unique.

The "Animal Tracks " game was so much fun for the kids and me. The kid kept spinning and matching up the animal tracks. This game helped them figure out which tracks belonged to each animal. This game really challenged the kids.

Our counting with ice occurred with blue rocks. Some of the kids put ice in their mouths so I used the blue rocks. I would like to try actual ice at some point. Everyone got valuable practice counting.

"Ice Drip Painting " gave the kids so many chances to be creative , use fine motor skills, use glue by themselves , and fine motor skills with putting the glitter on the house.

She was fascinated with the glue going down her house. "Tracks in the Snow" was a fantastic to get the children involved and engaged in story. They loved every minute of it. They even answered all the discussion questions correctly too. The kids matched up all the animal tracks as well.

Our new adventures with Mother Goose Time Curriculum are calling us. Do not worry we will be back very soon to share all the new things we have learned with Mother Goose Time Curriculum.
