We became owls ourselves and flew around the room. I like that Mother Goose Time incorporates movement to the lessons. This is one thing that helps children under the lesson even better.
We "Passed the Patterns" with flying colors. Having the kids make the animal sounds while doing the patterns helped the children associate which animal made what sound.Patterns can be hard for children sometimes. I am glad Mother Goose Time has a different pattern children can make each month.
The "Owl Shapes Game" is so cool and adorable. All I had to do is put everything on the table and the kids were ready to play. This is an excellent game for children to learn shapes with. They already like the
"Shape Builders" and they need all the practice they get with shape recognition.
The magnifying glass came out to find where Venezuela was on the map.
We were having trouble visualizing the letter"X" so I got out the letter flag. They matched up the capital X and the lower case x with the letters on the letter flag.
The children's creativity got to shine everywhere when they made the "Bell Prop". Markers worked very well for making designs on the bell. The got some practice with how they need to hold the marker. The "Bell Prop" some how became a trumpet too.
Counting with Jingle Bells. The kids loved it. We spent a very long time doing this.
Our Loving Bees were taken care of in a very loving way.
The "Cardinal Scene" had some hidden talents . The skills involved were fine motor with spreading the cotton balls, glued by themselves, and got to be creative. We got to learn more about birds with the "Bird Matching Game".
We have fantastic adventures waiting for us with Mother Goose Time " Sights and Sounds of Winter". Do not worry we are going to be back very soon to share our adventures with all of you.
