Your could see the children brainstorming when we did the Concept: Explore Drawing. I let the children pick different letters . Then I had the kids tell me what letter it was. They then traced each letter.The tracing of the letters made the kids think of exactly how to write the letter. I am glad this part was put in the lesson. The counting game " Ant Races" was fabulous. I say this because it was a fun way for the children to learn to count numbers. I will always feel children learn more when you make the learning experience fun and a hands on experience for the children.
" Mouse Maze" was a great opportunity for the kids to use their logic and their creativity. The kids were able to do the maze very quickly. They knew exactly what kind of food they wanted the mouse to have which happens to be apples. All the kids used their creativity engines and figured out what kinds of friends they wanted to draw for their mouse.
This little boy drew a snake for a friend for the mouse. He kept making his snake longer and longer.
This little boy also thought that the other animals needed to be able to find their way home too. He drew a line for them too.
